FRIDA LUNDÉN MÖRCK

︎︎︎Subversive Softness XVII

“Glass is an intriguing and mysterious material, with the potential of being both completely liquid and firmly solid. It can be both soft and very hard, and this unique plasticity is something that I often return to and explore in my work. For this piece, I have created a net of glass, which I then have blown glass into, allowing it to find its shape in – and as a kind of resistance to – the already existing form.”

Frida Lundén Mörck holds an MA in craft from Konstfack University of Arts, Craft and Design, but has also studied art history literature as well as curatorial practices. This combination of theoretical perspectives and practical knowledge informs her craft and artistry.
