︎︎︎Tree Became Tongue
With landscape as her subject matter, visual artist Linnéa Gad’s work explores geological change, calling for empathy for the earth’s resources. In response to the climate crisis, she has taken on the challenge of evoking expansive geological timespans that give context to our current moment. Through painting, printmaking and sculpture, she creates opportunities to develop emotional ties to landscapes, whose time frame extend long beyond a single human lifetime.
Currently based in Stockholm she received her BFA from Parsons, The New School for Design, New York, 2013 and will receive her MFA at Columbia University as class of 2022.
